165.2

It is time for a re-start, a new beginning, a time to put these last several months of struggle behind me. Tomorrow is Sept. 1. A great time to focus, to work hard to get to goal, and to succeed. I CAN be 150 again. I CAN stay there and get below goal. I CAN be a successful lifetime WW member. I CAN be a positive role model to others. I CAN be healthy and active and proud of myself.

What is my WHY?

  • To stay healthy
  • To be active
  • To be a regular walker
  • To be an active grandma
  • To wear all my clothes--size 8/10, medium. (Size 6 jeans!)
  • To feel confident with my weight journey
  • To go to bed feeling successful and proud of the day I had 100% on program
  • To wake up and look forward to a successful day 100% on program
  • To be happy and proud of my accomplishments
  • To make the most of this time of my life--the retirement era
  • To eat and appreciate delicious, healthy food
How will I get back to goal?
  • Pre-track every day
  • Stay honestly within 23 points everyday
  • Track and count everything I eat
  • Stay active and out of the kitchen
  • Drink more water
  • Walk 3.1 miles each day
  • Plan and carry out successful weekends with company and stays at Allison's and Kayla's
  • Attend WW meetings in person at least twice per month
  • Look for new recipes
  • Prep meals--cook and grill ahead
Make yourself proud! Stay positive! Keep focused! Celebrate success!

Jan. 2, 2021

 159.6 (160.0 on Jan. 1)

It has been a challenging November and December for staying on plan. So much stress and routine-disruption with caring for Mother, Thanksgiving, her passing and funeral, Christmas. I need to give myself grace, recognize it as part of my lifetime wellness journey, and move forward from here.

Christmas weekend was unbelievable, how out of control I was. So many cookies and candy. I was 155 on Christmas morning, 164.4 four days later on Dec. 29. How can that happen??

Then I had two excellent days and was to 158.8 on Dec. 31.

Anyway--all that is in the past. It's a new year, a new month, a new day. What decisions will I make that will make me happy tomorrow? I am responsible for the next decision I make.

Positives from 2020:

  • I made goal on April 16! -108 lbs.
  • I achieved WW Lifetime!
  • I wore my wedding dress on my 40th wedding anniversary.
  • I increased my walking this year, completing the spring challenge, summer challenge, fall challenge, St. Patrick's 5K, Mother's Day 5K, Hospice 5K, Pumpkin 5K, Turkey 5K.
  • I'm signed up for the winter challenge plus the "2021 in 2021" with the kids and Katie.
  • Through all of Covid quarantining, March > August, I maintained my weight.
  • I weigh one pound less than a year ago on Jan. 1.

Goals for 2021:
  • Continue walking, 2.5 to 3 miles a day. Indoors, outdoors, UP Wellness Center, YMCA, wherever.
  • Continue wearing my fun size 8-10/medium clothes.
  • Continue pre-tracking each day and following it.
  • Continue looking for new recipes.
  • Continue meal planning and preparing food for the week ahead.
  • Stop absent-minded snacking and BLT's.
  • Drink more water each day.
  • Get back to 150 pounds.
  • Lose 5 more pounds to stay at 145.
  • Set guidelines and follow them for the next holiday/event.
  • Be thin and healthy for our family weekend at Clear Lake in July.
